Our Team
Welcome to FUMC's team page. We are a diverse group of individuals from different French African countries, united by our faith in Jesus Christ. Our mission is to serve the community and spread the gospel, following the great commission (Matthew 28:19). Our team consists of pastors, volunteers, and members who work together to achieve this goal.
Gertrude Mukalay
A native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gertrude Mukalay has been involved in the ministry for over 25 years. Having completed her master's degree in theological studies. She is passionate about helping marginalized people, promoting social justice, and empowering the community. She speaks six languages: French, English, Swahili, and Kiluba.
John Kabala
Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, John Kabala has been serving in ministry for 23 years. He has master's degree in theology / Old Testament and Hebrew. He has a passion for helping people, promoting social justice, and improving the community. He speaks five languages: French, English, Swahili, Kiluba, and Lingala.
Lay leaders
Our volunteers are an essential part of FUMC's ministry. They help organize events, lead worship, and provide support to our pastors and members. We are grateful for their dedication and service to the church.
